Welcome to Clinical Services Northwest

I am Jackie Trussell, a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in Oregon, specializing in clinical supervision. With my certification to provide supervision for LCSW, LPC, and LMFT licensure — coupled with over 30 years of clinical experience and more than 25 years as a clinical supervisor — I can help you gain confidence in your clinical practice skills. From beginning practitioners seeking licensure to more experienced professionals, I provide customized supervision to meet your professional goals. Clinical supervision is a collaborative process, and my approach is supportive and rooted in the belief that every clinician has unique skills and perspective they bring to this work.

Services We Offer

I offer three levels of services for clinical social workers and professional counselors who are looking for an array of supervision experiences. Quality and confidential clinical supervision is offered to practitioners working toward licensure; clinical supervision for professionals who are post-licensure; and clinical consultation services for the more seasoned clinician who is needing specific consultation from time to time.

About Clinical Services Northwest

My approach to supervision is a collaborative interpersonal process. The underlying notion of the integrated developmental model of supervision is that we are continuously growing and moving toward more competence, self-assurance and self-reliance. The supervision I offer is customized to meet your professional and personal goals.

What people say about Clinical Services Northwest

Jackie was my clinical supervisor for three years while I provided mental health support for children at a high level of care in a therapeutic school. Jackie’s presence is grounding and allows space for self reflection.

Her approach is proactive rather than directive, providing opportunities for problem solving with clinical growth in mind.

Jackie is able to bring moments of levity when they are needed most, while providing a space to express thoughts, feelings and needs as a supervisee. Her support was essential in navigating a unique clinical setting and my own growth as a clinician, I recommend her as a supervisor for anyone on their own clinical journey.

As a brand new student clinician, I was lucky enough to be placed under Jackie’s supervision. Jackie taught me about client care and advocacy, good clinical skills around assessment and documentation, and the importance of caring for myself as well. I learned the value of consistent and insightful supervision, and how supportive supervision is a powerful tool to access in my own practice.

A few years later, when I found myself needing support and a new supervisor as I navigated several challenges in my clinical work, I reached out and Jackie was a lifeline. I worked with Jackie in private supervision, and that investment in my self and my career have paid off in many ways. As I supervise interns now, I find myself relying on the insights and wisdom that I gained under Jackie’s supervision. Her work is invaluable.

Jackie supervised me for my license when I was directly out of graduate school. I would not be the same clinician I am today, if it hadn’t been for her as my clinical supervisor. She is kind, funny, smart and has an immense amount of experience with kids and families to draw upon when consulting and reflecting.

Jackie is the most effective social work supervisor I have had to date. I learned from her to always go back to the humanity in others when dynamics get challenging, it has served me well for all my career since. She is just great!”
